<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel powder cosmetic composition which improves resistance to mechanical impact and heat shock, comfort to the skin, and durability on the skin or simultaneously improves all these properties. <P>SOLUTION: The solid cosmetic composition in the form of a loose or compact powder includes (a) 50-99 wt.% of at least one particulate solid phase, (b) 0.5-50 wt.% of at least one nonvolatile liquid phase, and (c) 0.01-4 wt.% of at least one block copolymer obtained from a first monomer of 2-acrylamidomethylpropane sulfonic acid and a second vinyl monomer having a nitrogen-containing cyclic side chain. The process for manufacturing the composition includes (i) a step of mixing a particulate solid phase, a nonvolatile liquid phase, a block copolymer, and water to obtain a slurry and (ii) a step of suctioning the water present in the slurry to obtain a dry powder. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
