<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seatbelt retractor that prevents a pawl from being largely displaced axially from an engaging position with engaging teeth during an emergency such as a vehicle collision and achieves reduction in the number of components and weight reduction. <P>SOLUTION: The seatbelt retractor is configured as follows. A pair of flanges are formed on respective axial ends of a webbing take-up part of a take-up drum. The engaging-side flange being one of the pair of flanges and opposing engaging teeth has a projecting part formed so as to project radially outward from the peripheral edge opposing an engaging part between a pawl and the engaging teeth. The outer diameter of the engaging-side flange is formed so as to be smaller than the inner peripheral diameter of the tips of the engaging teeth. The maximum external dimension formed of the projecting part and the engaging-side flange is formed so as to be larger than inner peripheral diameters of tips of the engaging teeth. In a state that the take-up drum is attached to a housing, the projecting part is projected more radially outward than the inner peripheral diameters of the tips of the engaging teeth axially externally adjacent thereto. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
