ELECTROMAGNETIC WAVE GENERATOR AND OPTICAL SHUTTER USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electromagnetic wave generator and an optical shutter using the same are provided to open and close the optical shutter at high speed by controlling moving speed of a charged particle. CONSTITUTION: An electromagnetic wave generator(10) comprises a lower electrode(11) and an upper electrode(12) which are arranged to be separated from each other and face each other. The electromagnetic wave generator comprises an electric charge available particle(14) which is arranged between two electrodes and a chamber(13) which is arranged to surround the electric charge available particle between the two electrodes. The electric charge available particle is arranged in an inner space(20) of the chamber. The lower electrode and the upper electrode are arranged in the lower part and the upper part of the chamber to seal the internal space of the chamber. The internal space of the chamber is maintained in vacuum without the particle having an electric charge besides the electric charge available particle or gas.
