PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply configure an efficient and serviceable light guide.

SOLUTION: A positron emission tomography (PET) detector module includes an array of crystal elements, a plurality of photosensors, and a transparent adhesive. The plurality of photosensors are arranged to at least partially cover the array of crystal elements and receive light emitted from the array of crystal elements. The transparent adhesive is arranged between the array of crystal elements and the plurality of photosensors. The transparent adhesive extends directly from a surface of at least one of the crystal elements to a surface of at least one of the photosensors and distributes the light emitted from one of the crystal elements to more than one of the photosensors.
