<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a honeycomb structure that improves the degree of freedom in setting the ratio between the length of a side of a rib and the plate thickness of an expanded portion while securing the load dispersibility, and to provide an automatic transaction device. <P>SOLUTION: A honeycomb structure 2 comprises a plurality of arranged cells 20,20. Each of the cells 20,20 is formed in a hexagonal shape surrounded by a hexagonal lattice-like rib 21.
