<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bar heater device in a packing machine which simplifies the adjustment of a gap between heater bars arranged face to face for carrying out center sealing, and enables foreign matter entering between heater bars when the center sealing is carried out to be detected without adding a separate sensor. <P>SOLUTION: In the bar heater device, when foreign matter gets caught between the heater bars 21 and 22 applying heat for sealing to parts of a packing material which are to be sealed, the gap between the heater bars 21 and 22 is widen. Consequently detecting the widening of the gap on the basis of variation of the amount of revolution (pulse) or torque in an opening and closing servo motor 23 helps the catching of the foreign matter to be detected. When an unpacked bag manufacture prevention function operates, the packing machine is stopped or connecting parts of packing materials pass, opening the heater bars 21 and 22 permits them separate from the packing material. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
