<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording film for an optical information recording medium which can satisfy all predetermined requirement characteristics (recording at lower recording power, a high modulation degree, a low jitter value and a high reflectance ratio sufficient for reproduction) and enhance productivity while reducing the number of layers in the optical information recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The recording film for the optical information recording medium on which recording is performed by laser light irradiation includes: Mn; at least one element (group X element) selected from a group (group X) consisting of Bi, Ag, Co, Cu, In, Sn and Zn; and oxygen (O).
