<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet processor and a method that can reduce an operation burden of a user and improve accuracy of serial numbers stored in a database. <P>SOLUTION: A paper sheet processor comprises: an imaging part 21 that captures paper sheet and generates a paper sheet image; a recognition part 24 that recognizes characters of each column of serial numbers from a serial number area of the paper sheet image; an output part 26 that outputs an image of a portion corresponding to the serial number area in the paper sheet image when there is a column of which the recognition part cannot complete the character recognition; a display part 62a that displays the characters recognized by the recognition part and the image output from the output part; and an input unit 62b that receives character input corresponding to the column of which the recognition part cannot complete the character recognition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
