PURPOSE: A mobile terminal and a control method are provided to perform payment by using a specific payment means at a specific location, thereby increasing convenience of the mobile terminal. CONSTITUTION: A memory stores payment means information. When a communication link using a near field communication module(114) is set up, a control unit(180) performs payment by using a payment means, which is corresponded to a location where the communication link is set up, based on the payment means information. The control unit displays the payment means information by overlapping the same with a map displayed in a display.
