A grinding assembly 110 comprises a holder arrangement 112 for a material to be ground, and a grinder 134 in communication with the holder arrangement. The grinder comprises first and second grinding portions 134A, 134B for grinding the material. The first grinding portion 134B is movable relative to the second grinding portion 134A. The grinding assembly further includes an operative arrangement 146 on the holder arrangement to operate the grinder. The operative arrangement comprises an outwardly extending member 162 operatively connected to the first grinding portion. The operative arrangement may be actuated by a users palms sliding along it. The outwardly extending member may extend radially outwardly with respect to the holder arrangement along a transverse axis to the rotation of the first grinding portion. The holder arrangement may be rotatable relative to the operative arrangement. The operative arrangement may include means which extend centrally across the holder arrangement which can be arranged adjacent a central region of the holding arrangement (Fig 1). The grinding assembly may include a fastening arrangement to fasten the grinder to the holder arrangement. |
