An undersheet for use in a patient handling system comprising a sheet 12, a fastener material 14 disposed on the sheet 12 for securing brackets to the sheet and a slide sheet 16 secured to the sheet 12 and able to at least partially cover the fastener material 14 wherein the slide sheet 16 can be lifted to uncover the fastener material 14. The device may be used with an oversheet which has a detachable slide sheet on one side. The slide sheet 16 may be stitched to the sheet 12 along two lines 18 parallel to a centre line. Straps may be used to hold the oversheet in place on a mattress and the brackets may be fastened using hook and loop fasteners. The oversheet may have fixings for a hoist. The device may be used to roll a patient on their side and hold them in position. |
