The apparatus has a set of blow molding stations (8) arranged on a movable carrier (2) and including blow molds, and a locking mechanism including a set of locking elements. A bearing unit movable mounts blow mold carriers opposite to each other and/or another bearing unit movable mounts one of the locking elements opposite to the other locking element. One of the bearing units is designed in form of a slide bearing or bearing, which is partially injected with a plastic material between bearing parts that are moved relative to each other. The bearing units are selected from radial and/or axial bearing, and include a material that is selected from a group of plastics material i.e. thermoplastic plastics material or thermosetting plastics material, or metallic material.
