A vehicle chassis 300, particularly for a bus or coach, comprises a main chassis frame 310 and at least one body mount 320 preferably located at a wheel arch 332 and preferably welded to chassis frame 310. Body mount 320 can connect a portion 325 of a vehicle body 305 with chassis 300. Chassis 300 further comprises an adjustable support 400 associated with chassis frame 310 and body mount 320, allowing body mount 320 to be movably adjusted and fixed, for example by slidable and/or rotatable adjustment, with respect to main chassis frame 310; suitably, support 400 may form a brace between arch 332 and body mount 320 and may extend perpendicularly to chassis frame 310. Support 400 may allow accurate alignment when mounting body 305 to chassis 300 while compensating for build tolerances and weld distortions. |
