<p>An air conditioner and a control method thereof are provided to minimize power consumption by controlling the same according to the amount of water on the surface of a heat exchanger. An electrode part(22) generates electric fields together with a heat exchanger. A voltage generating part(28) applies a voltage to the electrode part. A temperature sensing part senses at least one of the temperature of a pipe connected to the heat exchanger, the temperature of a heat exchanger or atmospheric temperature. A control part(30) controls the voltage generating part according to the sensed temperature.</p> |
