INSULATION STRUCTURE FOR CARGO HOLD OF LNG CARRIER

PURPOSE: An insulation structure for a LNG(liquefied natural gas) storage tank is provided to prevent damage of an auxiliary secondary barrier by forming an inclined part on the top of the edge of a flat plate when the auxiliary secondary barrier is installed to be recessed downward. CONSTITUTION: An insulation structure for a LNG storage tank comprises a lower insulation structure(100) and an upper insulation structure(200). The upper insulation structure is laminated on the lower insulation structure. The lower insulation structure comprises a lower insulation board(110), a flat plate, a secondary barrier(140), and an auxiliary secondary barrier(150). The lower insulation board is fixed in an inner side of a storage tank. The flat plate is laminated and fixed on the lower insulation board. The secondary barrier is laminated and fixed on the flat plate. Both ends of the auxiliary secondary barrier are placed and fixed on the lower insulation board to connect the lower insulation board.
