The invention relates to a method for manufacturing a retaining wall (20), which comprises: a step of manufacturing a rough wall (10) in soil (S), including a step of digging a trench in the soil and a step of simultaneously mixing soil in place with a binder; and a step of excavating an amount of soil adjacent to the rough wall so as to reveal one side (16) of the rough wall. The invention is characterised in that the method further comprises: a step of treating the rough wall, during which a protective treatment material is applied onto said side, said material including a polymeric material so as to obtain a retaining wall, the thickness (e5) of which is substantially equal to the thickness (e1) of the rough wall.
