<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting element that enhances extraction efficiency of light emitted from a light emitting layer, and further to provide a semiconductor light-emitting device. <P>SOLUTION: A semiconductor light-emitting element comprising: a semiconductor laminated layer including a light emitting layer; an electrode provided on a first principal surface of the semiconductor laminated layer; a contact layer provided to contact with a second principal surface of the semiconductor laminated layer; a reflecting layer provided to contact with the contact layer; and a substrate provided to contact with the reflecting layer. The contact layer has a rough corrugated surface to cause light scattering on a surface contacting with the reflecting layer. The reflecting layer has a first metal layer and a second metal layer. The first metal layer and the second metal layer are integrated with each other. The reflecting layer has a rough corrugated surface that meshes with and covers the rough corrugated surface of the contact layer on a surface contacting with the contact layer, and has a surface smoother than the rough corrugated surface on a surface contacting with the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
