The electrical distance transmitter assembly is provided with an electrically conductive or magnetic body formed as a slider on a predetermined path in magnetic fields of two coils (1,2). The coils have a geometric winding parameter which changes inversely monotonously at the two coils in every possible displacement direction of the slider. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a distance transmitter.
