PURPOSE: A remodeling structure of a sewage culvert for expanding a cross section and a construction method thereof are provided to rapidly and cost-efficiently expand the cross section of the sewage culvert by removing a portion of an upper slab or lower slab and installing an expanded sewage culvert in the removed portion. CONSTITUTION: A remodeling structure of a sewage culvert for expanding a cross section comprises a sewage culvert(100) and an upper expanded sewage culvert(300). The sewage culvert is buried in the ground, and an upper slab(110) thereof is removed. The upper expanded sewage culvert is installed in the portion of the sewage culvert where the upper slab is removed at a drainage capacity shortage section(A).
