The present invention is a water purification cartridge having a membrane-side housing for accommodating a membrane-water-purification unit, and a filtering-medium-side housing for accommodating a filtering-medium-water-purification unit, the water purification cartridge configured so that the membrane-side housing and the filtering-medium-side housing are removable. According to this water purification cartridge and pitcher-type water purifier, production costs can be kept from increasing even when the membrane-water-purification unit is arranged closer to the upstream side than the filtering-material water purification unit. It is also possible to provide a convenient water purification cartridge and pitcher-type water purifier enabling maintenance costs to be reduced.
