摘要 <p>A liquid crystal display device for displaying each frame of a video signal in 12 sub-frames having a shorter display duration than one frame of the video signal, wherein a voltage control unit (38) generates, and supplies to a blanking voltage line (V0) and a drive voltage line (V1), a blanking voltage and drive voltage of symmetrical square waves of opposite polarities, one period of which is one sub-frame duration of the sub-frames. The blanking voltage is a black voltage (Vb) during a drive duration, which is an earlier half duration of the sub-frame duration, and is a white voltage (Vw) during a compensatory drive duration, which is a latter half duration of the sub-frame duration. A pixel (20) is driven by an alternating current also when a gradation is 0, the drive voltage or blanking voltage being selected depending on whether a sub-frame datum is 1 or 0.</p>
