<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical waveguide with a mirror in which a plurality of optical elements can be efficiently arranged in a limited space. <P>SOLUTION: An optical waveguide 5 with a mirror includes: a lower cladding layer 2; a plurality of cores 3a to 3d arranged in parallel on the lower cladding layer 2 and spaced apart from each other; and a mirror surface 6 formed on each of the cores 3a to 3d. Each of the cores 3a to 3d has first and second inclined surfaces 11 and 21 that are spaced apart from each other in the long-side direction. The k-th inclined surface (k is an integer of 1 and 2) 11 and 21 of the core are arranged in line in the short-side direction of the core. In all of the inclined surfaces including the inclined surfaces 11 and 21 of the core, a part of the inclined surfaces serves as a mirror surface 6 having a metal layer 30 formed therein, the rest of the inclined surfaces serves as a translucent surface 7 having no metal layer 30, and every inclined surface adjacent to the mirror surface 6 in the short-side direction serves as the translucent surface 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
