The present invention relates to the field of reproductive medicine, particularly in connection with male and female infertility. Thus, the present invention focuses on the evaluation and assessment of the gene-expression profile of sperm in order to identify a specific group of genes in which the expression profile correlates with the fertility of the sperm. This group of genes could be used as biomarkers for differentiating those samples with the least ability to fertilize oocytes.
