<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the entire thickness while quickly blocking current in an emergency by providing a movable contact metal plate and a bimetallic strip as different metal plates. <P>SOLUTION: A non-conductive type circuit breaker incorporates, in a housing space 20 of an exterior case 1 made up of an insulation case 2 and an exterior metal plate 3: a fixed contact metal plate 4 having a fixed contact 5; a movable contact metal plate 6 having a movable contact 7; a bimetallic strip 8; and a heater 9. The exterior metal plate 3 and the fixed contact metal plate 4 are located at opposing positions and fixed to the insulation case 2. The bimetallic strip 8 has a curved shape protruding toward the center and is arranged between the heater 9 and the movable contact metal plate 6. The insulation case 2 is provided with a first exterior wall 11A and a second exterior wall 11B on respective ends. An intermediate portion 4B of the fixed contact metal plate 4 is fixed to the first exterior wall 11A, and part of the movable contact metal plate 6 is fixed to the second exterior wall 11B. The exterior metal plate 3 is fixed to the first exterior wall 11A and the second exterior wall 11B, without being insert-molded, so as to close an opening of the housing space 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
