<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a humidification apparatus, which is capable of performing an automatic operation for a set humidity, by detecting humidity with high accuracy without being affected by a temperature drop due to heat of vaporization. <P>SOLUTION: The humidification apparatus is configured by partitioning the inside of a body case into a lower space 5 with a humidifying filter and an upper space with a ventilation means by a partition part 3, wherein an air guide pipe 9 for communicating and connecting a fan air inlet of the ventilation means with a center communication port of the partition part 3 is arranged, and an upper part suction port formed at the back of the body case communicates with the lower space 5 from a front communication port 19 formed at the partition part 3 by using the outside of the air guide pipe 9 as a suction air passage 18. A housing 23 of a humidity sensor 22 for controlling the operation of the ventilation means by detecting the humidity of an indoor air is arranged by forming the suction air passage 18 between the air guide pipe 9 and itself.
