<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable valve device of an internal combustion engine which can flexibly set lift characteristics of a valve, can reduce a drive loss of the internal combustion engine and can suppress fluctuation in the lift characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The variable valve device includes, on a camshaft 1: a first cam 2; an oscillation cam 11 which is disposed so as to be capable of oscillating on a support shaft 10 parallel to the camshaft 1 and which oscillates accompanied by the rotation of the first cam 2 to open and close a valve 16; a control arm 42 rotatably disposed on the camshaft 1; a first arm 5 having one end reciprocally movable along an extending direction of the control arm 42 and mounted so as to be rotatable with respect to the control arm 42, and having the other end oscillating following the first cam 2; a second arm 7, which is disposed so as to be relatively rotatable to both the first arm 5 and the oscillating cam 11, and oscillates the oscillation cam 11 accompanied by the oscillation of the first arm 5; and a second cam 21 which is fixed to the camshaft 1 and brought into contact with the one end of the first arm 5 to move the oscillation supporting point of the first arm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
