摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cross sectional hardness distribution prediction system after nitriding a workpiece made of a high alloy tool steel, and a nitriding treatment apparatus incorporating the prediction system. <P>SOLUTION: The prediction system includes: a unit (a correction calculation unit S1) which receives the external input of the alloy composition of the workpiece, and obtains a difference by mass% in the alloy composition between the workpiece and a standard workpiece for each of the predetermined nitride generation elements, corrects the standard sectional nitrogen distribution as the nitrogen distribution of the section after the standard workpiece is subjected to the nitriding treatment under the predetermined nitriding condition to the corrected sectional nitrogen distribution, and calculates the nitride amount distribution; and a unit (a hardness conversion unit S2) which obtains the sectional hardness distribution from the nitride amount distribution for the corrected sectional nitrogen distribution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
