<p>An exterior acoustic louvre (10) comprises an internal structural mounting element (12) which is adapted for mounting the louvre (10) to an exterior mounting element, and which has a longitudinal sound-energy baffle (18) extending in a front-to-rear-edge direction of the louvre (10) and at least one lateral sound-energy baffle (20) extending in a top-to-bottom-surface direction of the louvre (10). At least one sound-energy absorption element (16) overlies at least a majority of the upper and lower surfaces (24a, 24b) of the longitudinal sound-energy baffle (18). A sound-attenuating baffle cavity (28) is provided between the upper and lower surfaces (24a, 24b) of the longitudinal sound-energy baffle (20), the sound-attenuating baffle cavity (28) extending across at least a majority of a lateral extent of the longitudinal sound-energy baffle (20). An exterior solar-shading system for a building, comprising a plurality of such exterior acoustic louvres (10) is also provided.</p> |
