TECHNIQUE FOR EMERGENCY SESSION HANDLING IN A COMMUNICATION NETWORK

Techniques of emergency session handling in a communication network are provided, in which a packet switched network control function (30') configured to handle emergency sessions established from a user equipment (10) via a packet switched network access, e.g. an Emergency Call Session Control Function (E-CSCF), is associated with a switching control node (40') of a circuit switched network. The switching control node (40') is capable of handling emergency sessions established via a circuit switched network access, e.g. a Mobile Switching Centre Server (MSC-S) of a mobile network. Handling of emergency sessions established via the packet switched network access is forwarded from the packet switched network control function (30') to the associated switching control node (40').
