<p>Preparing 1,4-trans-substituted cyclohexane compounds (I) comprises reacting corresponding 1,4-cis-cyclohexane compounds in the presence of (a) a Lewis acid or (b) a Lewis acid anion, and in the presence of an additional component, which together with the Lewis acid or with the Lewis acid anion can form a carbocation. Preparing 1,4-trans-substituted cyclohexane compounds of formula R 1>-[A 1>-(CH 2) n-] m-A 2>-R 2>(I) comprises reacting corresponding 1,4-cis-cyclohexane compounds in the presence of (a) a Lewis acid or (b) a Lewis acid anion, and in the presence of an additional component, which together with the Lewis acid or with the Lewis acidic anion can form a carbocation. R 1>, R 2>9C alkyl or -CH(CH 3)CH 3; m : 1-2; n : 0-4; and A 1>, A 2>trans-1,4-cyclohexylene.</p> |
