PURPOSE: A novel airborn transmissible pathogenic avian influenza virus A/Korean native chicken/Korea/K040110/2010(H9N2) is provided to prevent poultry from low pathogenic avian influenza virus infection. CONSTITUTION: A low pathogenic avian influenza A virus K040110/2010 strain(H9N2)(deposit number KCTC 11938BP) is isolated from domestic poultry. A vaccine for protecting poultry contains the avian influenza virus A and pharmaceutically acceptable carrier or diluents. The vaccine is an attenuated or inactivated type. The vaccine additionally contains an adjuvant and one or more vaccine components for other pathogens. A method for preparing the avian influenza virus A comprises: a step of inoculating the avian influenza virus A to a substrate which is susceptible to the infection; a step of proliferating the avian influenza virus A; and a step of collecting materials containing the avian influenza virus A.
