<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the necessity of investigating a ground water level when carrying out repair for imparting earthquake resistance to an existing manhole structure, eliminate injection work for a fixation agent and the like even when a water level is high, and reduce construction costs when the repair is carried out. <P>SOLUTION: A water cut-off member 40 for manhole repair used when repairing an existing manhole structure provided with a manhole 2 and a Hume concrete pipe 3 connected to the manhole 2 is formed in such a manner that it can be inserted into an annular recess 30 opened to the inner side of the manhole and extending so as to surround an opening end of the Hume concrete pipe 3.
