<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency and accuracy of identifying an object which draws a curve or inclines itself. <P>SOLUTION: An environment recognition device 130 acquires a luminance of each of plural blocks which a detection region is divided into, derives an edge direction based on a direction in which an edge of the luminance of each block extends, relates blocks based on the edge direction, generates an edge trace, groups a region surrounded by the plural edge traces and regards as an object, and determines the object as an identified object. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
