VOICE RECOGNITION DEVICE, ROBOT, AND VOICE RECOGNITION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the recognition ratio of voice recognition while reducing excessive response.

SOLUTION: A voice recognition device 40 uses a camera 30 to image an object and obtain image information representing the object, and a mike 32 to obtain sound information representing a sound generated when the camera 30 performs imaging. Based on the image information obtained by the camera 30, the voice recognition device 40 detects a speech section where a person speaks and increases sensitivity of recognition of the person's speech based on the sound information in the detected speech section compared to the case of no speech section being detected.
