<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for determining a body present in front of an automobile with good accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes an attribute determination unit that acquires image information of a plurality of captured images in which the front of vehicle is captured under a plurality of exposure conditions and then determines the attribute of a body present in front of the vehicle as a light emitting member or a light reflection member based on the image information of the plurality of captured images. The image processing apparatus may further include an imaging unit that captures the front of the vehicle. The imaging unit may capture the front of vehicle in a predetermined period of time under the plurality of exposure conditions with varying exposure amounts and output the image information of the plurality of captured images thus captured to the attribute determination unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
