<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a side box for wall surface furniture, making a surplus space part formed between an indoor sidewall surface and the side surface of the wall surface furniture installed to an indoor wall surface function as an article storage container, and allowing reduction of the number of components without degrading appearance. <P>SOLUTION: In this side box for a wall surface furniture installed in the surplus space part S between the side surface 11 of the wall surface furniture 1 installed along an indoor wall surface 21 and an indoor sidewall surface 22, side plates 33 disposed in a facing state to the wall surface furniture side surface 11 and back plates 34 having a prescribed small width are installed in an L shape in a plan view, and oblong box bodies 30 in each of which a front surface part 31 and one side surface part 32 directed to the indoor sidewall surface 22 are respectively opened is formed, while door plates 38 each opening/closing the front surface part 3 of the box body are each installed to a front edge part of the side plate 33 of the box body 30.
