<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver cooperation system capable of performing cooperation between users while viewing a broadcast program through the use of a bidirectional transmission path of communication. <P>SOLUTION: In a receiver cooperation system (1) for the cooperation of multiple receivers (3), each one of the receivers (3) receives program identification information from a broadcast station (2) together with a program content, and then, transmits the program identification information to a cooperative server (4). The cooperative server (4) manages a viewing state (a program content being viewed) for each receiver (3) on the basis of the received program identification information, and transmits information of another receiver (3) viewing the same program content to the receiver (3).
