OPTICAL TRANSCEIVER MOUNTING WAVELENGTH VARIABLE LD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transceiver mounting a wavelength variable LD that suppresses degradation in drive signals.

SOLUTION: A wavelength variable LD is mounted in a TOSA20 (optical transmission sub-assembly). An optical transceiver includes two vertically disposed circuit boards 12 and 13. Although the TOSA20 is mainly connected to the second board 13, signals driving the wavelength variable LD are transmitted by FPC substrates 17 and 18 directly connected to the first board 12 mounting a drive circuit 12A for the wavelength variable LD.
