<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management device which solves a problem in a case in which an online storage is handled in the same way as a local storage. <P>SOLUTION: A NAS 200 capable of communicating with an online storage 300 uploads a file to the online storage 300 in response to a storage request for the file.
