PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of modified polyester is provided to modify polyester obtained by re-polymerization after de-polymerization to have desired physical properties. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of modified polyester comprises: a mixing step obtaining a first mixture by mixing waste polyester with ethylene glycol; a melting step melting waste polyester in the first mixture; a depolymerization step generating bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate by depolymerizing the molten first mixture; and a polycondensation step mixing 1-25 parts by weight of the bis-2-hydroxyethyl terephthalate modifier based on 100.0 parts by weight of the polyester and polycondensating the same.
