<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recommendation information generation device and a recommendation information generation method for selecting content matching the characteristics of a similar user without using the browsing history of the user. <P>SOLUTION: An information distribution server 200 comprises: a user characteristic vector calculation unit 204 which calculates the user characteristic vector of each user; a similar user calculation unit 209 which calculates similarity between users on the basis of the user characteristic vector of the users calculated, and selects a prescribed number S of top users who have higher similarity to one user on the basis of the calculated similarity; a new user characteristic vector calculation unit 209a which generates a new user characteristic vector on the basis of the user characteristic vectors of the prescribed number S of similar users and their similarity to the one user; and a recommendation information generation unit 210 which generates recommendation information for the one user on the basis of the generated new user characteristic vector. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
