<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture a high-quality pattern phase difference film easily in a large amount, which can be applied to a three-dimensional image display employing a passive method. <P>SOLUTION: A pattern phase difference film is manufactured by transferring a convex-concave shape formed on a metal mold 13 for transfer onto a transparent sheet material to form an alignment film. On the premise of the manufacturing, a turning tool 23 having a linearly extending blade edge is displaced relative to a base material 21, while causing the blade edge to be collided with the base material 21, and thereby cutting the surface of the base material 21 to form convex-concave shapes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
