<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a passenger conveyor which determines the sort of a passenger and automatically switches an operation speed to increase an operation efficiency while securing safety. <P>SOLUTION: The control device of a passenger conveyor detects body heights and boarding speeds of passengers 1a, 1b by a first passenger sensor 3a (3b) and a second passenger sensor 3c (3d) to determine whether the passengers 1a, 1b are weak people such as children and elderly people, or healthy people, or even when being healthy people, whose boarding speeds are fast or not, and based on determined sorts of the passengers 1a, 1b, automatically switches an operation speed of the passenger conveyor between three steps of a low speed slower than a steady speed, the steady speed and a high speed faster than the steady speed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
