A wireless communication system comprising a first base station where priority is given to connection with a wireless communication terminal, and a second base station that applies an MBSFN subframe to the data transmission to a subordinate wireless communication terminal, wherein the MBSFN subframe comprises a first symbol in which the second base station transmits a signal that includes control information, and second symbols other than the first symbol. The wireless communication terminal measures the cell of the first base station at a timing that corresponds to any of the second symbols, and transmits the measurement results to the first base station.
