This board operation assisting device and assisting method are for assisting board operations performed by board operation equipment on circuit boards that constitute electrical circuits, and feature: assessing change in the quality of operation of board operation equipment (158); in the event of an assessment that the extent of decline in the quality of operation exceeds a predetermined extent, determining a remedial treatment for remediation of the quality of operation (160); alerting the board operation equipment and/or the operator of the board operation equipment of the remedial treatment so determined (162); receiving, from the board operation equipment and/or the operator of the board operation equipment, treatment completion information, which information relates to completion of the remedial treatment which was the subject of the alert (166); and, on the precondition of having received the treatment completion information, assessing change in the quality of operation before and after completion of the remedial treatment. The effect of the remedial treatment in improving quality can be appropriately verified thereby.
