A barge based processing plant (13) carried in usage position of a foundation (14). The barge includes a closed lower part (11), which has displacement lift buoyancy designed to relieve a considerable amount of the weight of the plant from the foundation (14). The lower part (11) has a height equal to the distance between the upper edge of the lower side and the lowest normal water level (15) through which the displacement lift buoyancy is held constant. An upper part (12) in the barge has a height (H), that exceeds the difference between the low water level (15) and the high water level (19), and is equipped with connectable openings (20) in its sideboard setting, so that changes in the water-level above the lowest water level (15) do not change the barge's displacement lift buoyancy.<IMAGE> |
