<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of improving both lateral grip performance and traction performance in a high level. <P>SOLUTION: An asymmetric tread pattern includes an inner lateral groove in which an angle θi relative to a tire axis direction is small in a tread half part inside the vehicle, and an outer lateral groove in which an angle θo relative to the tire axis direction is large in a tread half part outside the vehicle. Folding height inside the vehicle of a second carcass ply 6b is smaller than the folding height outside the vehicle. An apex height of bead apex rubber 8i inside the vehicle is smaller than an apex height of bead apex rubber 8o outside the vehicle.
