<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of protrusion to a radial direction in an installed pipe when a gate is exchanged under continuous flow. <P>SOLUTION: A valve cover flange 20 of a valve cover 2 which stores a gate 3 is placed on a first flange 11 from which a boring machine is detached. In order to inhibit floating of the valve cover 2 in a perpendicular direction caused by the pressure of flow flowing in a flow path, a pressing tool for pressing the valve cover 2 is fixed to a moving plate 6, and then the moving plate 6 is made to slide with the valve cover 2 and the pressing tool to the second direction reciprocal to the specified first direction so that an opening inside the first flange 11 communicates to the opening inside the valve cover 2. The valve cover 2 is fixed to the first flange 11 with the first bolt, and the pressing tool is detached from the plate 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
