The heat exchanger (1) has a pre-distributor (10) for receiving liquid (F) to be distributed on a tube bundle. A longitudinal axis is extended along a core tube (20). A distributor arm (30) is provided for distributing the liquid to the tube bundle. The pre-distributor is connected to the distributor arm through the core tube. Multiple staggered channels (41,42,43) are provided in the core tube in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis.
