<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new type chain transfer agent having no problem in odor, corrosion or hygroscopicity, environmentally friendly and capable of imparting a functional group to a polymer; and to provide a polymer with imparted functional group, and a method for production of the polymer. <P>SOLUTION: The chain transfer agent has a condensed polycyclic aromatic skeleton represented by formula (1) (wherein n is an integer of 1 to 4; Rs are each independently alkyl, aryl, aralkyl, alkoxyalkyl, glycidyl, hydroxyalkyl, aryloxylakyl, allyl, carbamoyl or silyl; and Xs are each independently hydrogen, alkyl or aryl, and a pair of adjacent Xs may form an (un)saturated 6-membered ring instead of the substituent by bonding to each other). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
